Siltcoos River Canoe Trail

Siltcoos River Kayak Rentals is a part of Siltcoos Lake Resort & sits on the banks of the Siltcoos River just 6 miles south of Florence on the Oregon Coast. We are located at the start of the famous Siltcoos River Canoe Trail. We rent kayaks by the day, come and enjoy the 3 mile easy paddle to the Pacific Ocean & around Siltcoos Lake. Its an easy paddle both directions on the river due to the small dam that is about 3/4 of the way down the river towards the beach..

We launch you right from our private dock on the upper Siltcoos River When you arrive at we will outfit you with a life jacket and paddle, they are included in the coast of the kayak rental. We have many single and tandem kayaks to choose from. As you paddle down the river, you'll pass forests, dunes and eventually a wide estuary that empties into the Pacific. Old growth Sitka Spruce and temperate rain forest surround this location in the heart of the Oregon National Dunes.

In addition to birds, the area is home to a number of mammals, including river otter, mink, black bear, deer, raccoon, and beaver. As you approach the ocean, you may spot many otters and harbor seals.

An area at the mouth of the river is restricted snowy plover habitat for the period from March 15 through September 15, please only exit when you get to wet sand.
